Emily Scott Robinson

with Ben de la Cour

Gorgeous, clear-eyed examinations of faith, hope and regret.

Colorado singer-songwriter Emily Scott Robinson mixes folk and country with gorgeous, clear-eyed examinations of faith, hope and regret, in a voice as mesmerizing as a sunrise with a range of nearly three octaves. With a quarter million miles under her belt and counting, the North Carolina native travels the dusty highways of America’s wild country, capturing the stories of the people she meets and expertly crafting them into songs. Bolstered by the positive response of her 2016 debut album, Magnolia Queen, Robinson and her husband packed everything into an RV and hit the road. She was among the 2016 Kerrville New Folk winners, and her 2019 album, Traveling Mercies, was named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country and Americana Artists to Watch in 2019.” She earned spots among Rolling Stone’s Top 40 Country and Americana albums and songs of the year. Her 2021 follow-up album, American Siren, made numerous “Best of 2021” lists including NPR, Rolling StoneAmerican Songwriter, and No Depression. In 2022, Robinson released a collaboration for theater called Built on Bones featuring artists Alisa Amador and Violet Bell. On her newest album, Appalachia (2026), Robinson sings about love and loss, pain and joy, and grief and hope.

“Robinson’s clear, sweet soprano voice wraps you in its warm embrace, while her storytelling takes you on a journey through her heart and life.”

–American Highways

Lyrics that create entire worlds and fully realized characters.

Ben de la Cour’s visceral songwriting grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let go. Weaving evocative stories of desperate characters with his signature “Americanoir” sound, de la Cour shines a raw, empathetic, and at times bleak, light on the human condition. After receiving praise from American Songwriter, Twangville, The Telegraph, and NPR for his 2023 release Sweet Anhedonia, de la Cour released his heart-wrenching sixth album, New Rose. It adds new layers to his delicately fingerpicked story songs, creating something that is at once soaring and beautiful, and hammering and claustrophobic, yet ultimately hopeful and resilient.

“[Ben de la Cour]…has much to say and knows how to say it as only a true poet can…You need this bright young talent now more than ever.”
