Raised in Chicago, Rachel Baiman made her way to Nashville at 18 with the dream of being a professional fiddle player and has since released two solo records and an EP, while doing session work with Kacey Musgraves, Kevin Morby, and Molly Tuttle. As a songwriter, she has garnered a reputation for her specific brand of political and personal lyricism. Her album Common Nation of Sorrow (2023) was called one of “The Best Albums of the Year (So Far)” by The Boston Globe. She has undertaken a series of collaborations with some of her favorite songwriters, including Pony Bradshaw, Caroline Spence, Nicholas Jamerson, and Kaia Kater.

With his keenly observant lyrics and blend of dynamic guitar and piano work, Chicago-based singer-songwriter Joe Gorka has made a name for himself in the Midwest music scene. He has played well-loved Chicago rooms such as Schubas Tavern, City Winery, and Uncommon Ground, and venues and festivals across the region. In 2025 he released his debut solo EP “Evergreen” and was selected for the Emerging Artist Showcase at Connecticut’s Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. Joe, son of folk artist John Gorka, is playing at respected listening rooms across the country including Godfrey Daniels and Club Passim, while completing his debut full-length album. The first single from this album, “The Siren Song,” is out now.
Clear-eyed and tough-minded, songwriter/playwright Katie Dahl is known for her smart songs, wry wit, and wise spirit. A small-town celebrity on the Wisconsin peninsula where she lives, Katie is also an internationally touring, radio-charting artist who “delivers razor-sharp lyrics with a hearty, soulful voice” (American Songwriter). In live shows that are both courageously honest and devilishly funny, Katie dives deep into questions of land and love, family and body image, grief and joy. “In unsettled times,” says Peter Mulvey, “Katie Dahl brings us a grounded spirit.” Katie’s five albums of original songs showcase her creamy alto. In 2024, she was named a Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Finalist.
