An Evening with

Shawn Mullins

Expressing emotions that connect with particular places and times.

Shawn Mullins is an Atlanta-based singer-songwriter who specializes in folk rock, instrumental rock, adult alternative, and Americana music. He is the ultimate storyteller, with each song expressing emotions that vividly connect with particular places and times. With a supple baritone that still allows him to wail the blues and growl with grit—not to mention rock those talkin’ rhythms—he has been engaging audiences since he won his first high-school talent contest with his own composition. Mullins rocketed to international critical and commercial success with the release of 1998 Soul’s Core featuring his Grammy-nominated No. 1 hit, “Lullaby,” followed by AAA/Americana No. 1 hit “Beautiful Wreck” from 2006’s 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor. Mullins also co-wrote the Zac Brown Band’s No. 1 country tune “Toes.” In early 2002, he formed supergroup The Thorns with Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge. “No Blue Sky” from the resulting album, is a modern-day classic. For the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough album, Mullins revisited the music of Soul’s Core by recording two new versions of the album. He calls this Soul’s Core Revival.

“Whether he’s singing at a festival, in a roadhouse or on a pool deck, well-traveled troubadour Shawn Mullins knows how to command an audience.”
